Meeting Minutes 5/30/2013

  • Meeting commenced at 7:00 P.M.

  • There were no meeting minutes from the February 28, 2012 meeting to review.

  • Lou opened with a brief overview of the committee, noting the all volunteer nature, and the requirement to spend at a balanced budget.

ARC Report:

  • There were no ARC items to discuss.

Parks Report:

  • The landscaping contract expires in October.

  • Mulch in park and playground was laid.

  • All grills except one at each pavilion will be removed. Each remaining grill will be repaired.

  • Looking at clearing all the brush out of the wooded area, replacing broken swings, and retreating pavilions.

Treasurer’s Report:

  • As of May 29, 2013 we have $51,207.96 in total current assets.

  • Foreclosure proceedings are in process for 2 houses.

  • By law the HOA must maintain a 10% reserve allocation.

Old Business:

  • Mayor Gary Werner received the letters from residents regarding the street signs and mailed a response. He noted that as the current budget stands the money was not available to be allocated to sign replacement, but that he would forward the residents’ concerns to Mike Abella, the ward councilman. Mr. Werner also notified the board of the names of the First Energy POC and service director to contact regarding any malfunctioning light posts (city lights, not the residential gas lamps).

  • New Business:

  • The 2014 budget was presented for approval. Motion was made for approval by Keith, seconded by Deby, and received unanimous approval.

  • Residents raised concern of people using our park who do not live in, or pay dues to our development. The issue was discussed and it was noted that it is a continual concern but our options are very limited.

  • It was noted that when kids are playing with AirSoft equipment they should notify the city police in advance.

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Ryan, seconded by Deby and approved by unanimous vote.

Meeting adjourned at 7:45PM.
